Participants in this module will learn to:
▪ Discuss skills needed during preoperative patient assessment for effective IOL counseling and selection to ensure satisfaction and realistic expectations.
▪ Evaluate various advanced IOL technologies, including monofocal, enhanced monofocal, Toric, EDOF, multifocal, small aperture, and customizable.
▪ Compare clinical practices for the surgical management of astigmatism at the time of cataract surgery, as well as any residual post-operative astigmatism.
▪ Describe different approaches for dealing with concerned or dissatisfied patients and for enhancing their overall outcomes.

▪ Acute vs chronic management of OSD (tuning up for surgery vs long term maintenance)

▪ Review of current and upcoming dry eye management tools and treatments.

Participants in this module will learn:
▪ Differentiate between surgical options based on the patients age and prior refractive surgery
▪ Determine best practices for preoperative patient evaluations and assessments

Participants in this module will learn:
▪ Compare and contrast MIGS options that are available now and what will be approved soon.
▪ Discuss MIGS as a stand-alone procedure and when combined with cataract surgery.
▪ Summarize the MIGS reimbursement and coding issues.
